Every summer, Drum Corps International (DCI) Division I corps compete to earn the title of DCI Division I World Champion for that year's summer season. The champion is usually named at the final competition in mid-August and is chosen based on the highest total score.
In DCI's 34-season history, there have been eight corps to win the title (including 3 ties):
