[edit] Mission

The Chippewa Valley Brigade is a project of the Chippewa Valley Drum & Bugle Corps Association (CVDBCA) Inc. Their mission is to provide a quality educational program, focusing on music & movement, to the youth of the Chippewa Valley region. Their goal is to create a program that enhances the local school music programs by raising the level of musicianship of their common members.

[edit] History

The CVDBCA Inc. was formed in September 2004 by a group of Eau Claire Boys/Eau Claire Sundowners drum & bugle corps alumni. The aim of the Association was to return the drum & bugle corps activity to the region in West-Central Wisconsin which includes the cities of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.

In the fall of 2005, the Chippewa Valley Brigade began accepting members for a non-competitive season. The Brigade had two performances in the 2006 season: Drums Along the Red Cedar, in Menomonie, WI (June 18th) and Drums On the Chippewa, in Chippewa Falls, WI (July 26th.)

The CVDBCA Inc. is currently reorganizing in an effort to provide a stronger support organization for the Brigade. During the reorganization process, the Chippewa Valley Brigade will remain inactive as a competitive unit.
